Description Beaded heart-shaped valentine made by Annie Ironhawk. Beaded design of blue, green, gold, white, and clear seed beads on black cotton fabric, bordered by red polka dot fabric and more white beading along border.

Provenance Old catalog record says "Made by Annie Ironhawk, in part, donated by Edna Covey in memory of Lloyd Covey. (W[illia]m Covey was a trader on an Indian reservation, Tokyo, N.D.)"
Record for Annie Greywind Ironhawk born c. 1888, lived in Mission, N.D. on Spirit Lake Reservation (Tokio N.D. on same reservation) married to Andrew Ironhawk, according to 1940 census records.
