Description 1850s dark green wool blend visiting dress with three bands of black velvet trim around the bell sleeves, finely pleated waist, pleated cap sleeves, split front bodice with twelve hook and eye closures, brown lining in the jacket and lighter green lining along the hem, pocket sewn into the right side seam. Hemline is worn but may not be the original hem - lack of hem protection, no decorative banding to match sleeves.
