John Vach grew up and spent his entire life in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He attended elementary school at St. Wenceslaus School and Aquinas High School, graduating in 1969. John worked at St. Francis Hospital in the Dietary Department until 1977, when he began his teaching career at St. James School in La Crosse, where he taught and coached girls' basketball for 15 years. John's hobby of collecting comic books and sports cards lead him to become the business owner of Rivery City Hobbies form 1992-2013. John married Ruth Abts on August 6, 1977 and they had 2 children. They were together for 35 years until his sudden death. |
