Description |
La Crosse Police Department black leather uniform jacket. Jacket has a center front four button closure, with gold plastic buttons with a "P" in the center and two plain blue snaps at the waist. Beneath the snap buttons is a heavy duty silver zipper closure. Each sleeve has a patch on the shoulder from the La Crosse Police of the bluffs, Mississppi River, a steamboat, and an eagle. Jacket has two false exterior pockets and five interior pockets in the lining. Collar of the jacket is removable with button snaps. Collar is lined with a fuzzy polyester lining. Jacket also has a strip of leather with two holes to attach the police officer's badge on the left breast. On the right breast is a similar strip with the gold metal badge still attached. |

Lt. Dan Marcou wore this jacket the night that he was shot at while on duty. The sleeve of the jacket was gouged (as can be seein in the attached picture) when spray from slugs was tearing holes in a door. |
