Women's undergarment made in La Crosse, WI. called "The Leona," after its inventor Leona Crichter of New York, this is a "three-in-one" which consolidates camisole, drawers and slip into one undergarment. This Leona is made of a cotton batiste, the skirt has an untrimmed slef-fabric ruffle. Entredeux ribbon beading with drawsring at waist. There is a 2 shell button closure at the waist and one shell button at the neck. The bodice is open in front as is the skirt with overlapping open drawers seamed to be part of the skirt. Narrow ribbon beading with drawstring at neckline. Label: "Size [obscured]...../The Leona/THREE PIECE SUIT/PATENTED FEB 7, 1905/ LA CROSSE, WIS." |
