Notes |
Uriah Parry and his son Uriah Jr. came to La Crosse from New York in the late 1850s. They replaced Bayme in the Bayme and Wells wholesale drug store located on Front Street between Main and State Streets. Around 1859 or 1860 Wells left the business and the name changed to Uriah Parry Jr Wholesale Druggists and sold via the railroad. In June 1864 the store was damaged by a fire and the business was sold to McCulloch, McCord, & Co. |
