Description |
Silk taffeta wedding dress worn by Mary (Dalton) Jenks, consisting of skirt and bodice. Woven plaid, with black, green, red, blue and white. Fitted bodice has brown cotton lining, and cream lace collar. Sleeves cut on bias, with ruffles on edge. |

Wedding dress, worn by Miss Mary J. Dalton to marry Captain John Jenks. Widowed, she later married Thomas P. Benton, a La Crosse businessman. She came to La Crosse in 1850. |
