US Army military issue backpack, known as a "medium Alice" backpack. Designed as the first lighter-weight army backpack, and first used in 1973. Olive drab nylon, with a metal "X" support on the back. Three large outer bags on front, drawcord top opening covered with a large flap. Flap has the name "Barker" inked in black.

Black leather fireman's helmet. Edges are rough and surface is very cracked: tooled design and writing on brim have all but disappeared. Leather shield on front is present but detached. Red and white, it says "Foreman" with a backwards letter N and a big number "1." Was once held in place by gold-painted leather peak at top of helmet.
